We recommend that you always remove the SIM card from your phone BEFORE sending it to BuyBackWorld. Your SIM card stores information that uniquely identifies your phone on a cellular network. By removing your SIM card, you protect your private service-subscriber key and free your phone to be resold on the secondary market. On most devices, the SIM card is located under the battery and can easily be ejected.
iPhone and iPad SIM cards can be a little tricky. If you have an iPhone 2G, 3G, or 3Gs, locate the SIM card tray in the top edge of the casing, between the headphone jack and power button. If you have an iPhone 4, or newer, locate the tray along the right edge of the casing. It is visible by a little hole and the outline of a rectangle. Once located, insert Apple's SIM card removal tool or use a straightened paperclip to push the pin-sized hole in the SIM card tray. Once you release the catch of the hole, the SIM tray will eject from the phone. Remove your SIM card from the tray and reinsert the tray so it is secure and flush with the casing.
If you have an iPad 1 (with AT&T 3G), iPad 2 (with AT&T 3G), or the New iPad for either AT&T or Verizon (4G LTE), you should remove the SIM card from the side of the iPad by inserting Apple's SIM card removal tool or a straightened paperclip into the pin-sized hole in the SIM card tray.
PLEASE NOTE: When we receive devices with SIM cards still inside them, we are required to destroy them in an effort to protect your privacy as soon as they reach our facilities.
This means if you send in a device with a SIM Card and then request that your device is returned, we will be UNABLE TO RETURN YOUR SIM CARD to you. We appreciate your understanding on this, as it is done to protect the integrity of your privacy.
You are able to get a replacement SIM Card from your respective carrier and your device will work just fine once you do.
