If you are sending in a cellular device which operates on a cellular network such as AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, etc. you must make sure that your device is clear for activation by a new user PRIOR to sending it in to BuyBackWorld.
This means that your bill is paid in full and your device is not reported lost or stolen and allows your device to be resold to a new user. It also means that your device is free and clear of any Activation Locks such as iCloud, Reactivation Lock, Android Protection and/or IT Policies.

In order to check your ESN or IMEI is clear for activation, you can call your carrier directly by pressing 611 on your device or using the 800 numbers below:
- AT&T: 1-800-331-0500
- Verizon: 1-800-922-0204 or online using the Verizon Bring Your Own Device check
- Sprint: 1-888-211-4727
- T-Mobile: 1-800-866-2453 or online using the T-Mobile IMEI STATUS CHECK
An ESN is an Electronic Serial Number which is unique to your device and used to identify your device on CDMA networks such as Verizon and Sprint
An IMEI is an International Mobile Equipment Identity number which is unique to your device and used to identify your device on GSM networks such as AT&T and T-Mobile.
